Calf feed
This is a three stage calf rearing system. Calf Starter is a muesli calf mix which is highly palatable and digestible for very young calves, specially designed to promote early rumen development. Calf Supreme pellets are for animals from three to four weeks of age, and Calf Grower can be introduced once calves have access to good quality pasture or until target liveweights are achieved.
CRT Pre-Calving Pellets
A palatable formulation of anionic salts and vitamin E blended with cereal and protein meal to provide the ideal supplement for feeding to dairy cows prior to calving. Keep it in mind for next season.
CRT Performance Dairy Pellets
Designed as a supplementary feed to balance nutrient deficiencies in pasture. The feed is designed to maintain and improve cow condition and to ensure that milk production is optimised. The vitamins and minerals in performance dairy pellets aid in improving cow health.
PLUS a wide range of TAILOR MADE FEEDS
Additives of your choice can be included to create tailor made recipes for prescription feeding. There are many options for delivery, including bulk, bulk bags and small bags.
From the Feed sales and Category manager
CRT Feed’s Feed sales and Category Manager, Peter Brown says the mill model is a perfect solution for Southland farmers and CRT shareholders.
“We’re close by to the inputs we need, purchasing grain from CRT’s arable farming shareholders. We then add value to it through the manufacturing process and sell the finished products to pastoral farmers,”
And for CRT shareholders there’s the added benefit for profits made throughout the supply chain to be redistributed to the farmers that generated them, he says.
CRT’s supply chain includes providing seed, agrichemicals, fertiliser, and bulk fuel to growers, along with specialist on-farm advice from a network of technical field officers.
CRT will use its existing southern South Island FarmCentres and on-farm network to increase sales volumes and lift the operating capacity of the plant while continuing to train and develop CRT staff. The co-operative has qualified nutritional experts to improve existing products and to develop new ones over time.
These nutritional specialists are available to provide advice to individual CRT shareholders.
On the manufacturing side, CRT has retained the staff who know the business and the region they work in.
