CRT Horticulture general manager Jim Grierson has been involved with plant agronomy since 1974, after working in broad acre crops for four years. Jim has specialised in Horticulture crops ever since and has held a number of positions on horticulture sector boards. He has the privilege of being International Blackcurrant Association president.
Jim came to CRT when the co-operative bought his CropWatch and CropBase businesses in 2007. He now effectively leads the team of sales agronomists located throughout the South Island and is still involved with the development of the CRT CropBase software. This technology assists farmers by tracing and tracking inputs, areas and yields. He is also a past member of the AGCARM, founding director of the ICD group and holds three directorships – two of which are charity based.
Jim is only too happy to pass on his extensive knowledge on all things horticultural and can be contacted on 0274-341-261 or by emailing him at jim.grierson@crt.co.nz
