CRT Grain and Seed operates a grain procurement and trading business, to provide a seamless service for our customers. We can source and supply all feed grains to customers including dairy, pig and poultry producers and major feed manufacturers.
In addition to the trading of cereals and multiplication of domestic proprietary ryegrass and clover seeds, we also contract export seed multiplications. The domestic feed grain market has become significant in recent years and we pride ourselves in our ability to service a wide range of end users, reflecting our integrity and ability to offer an independent, reliable service at market prices.
We also have vertical integration in the supply of feed grains to our mills for processing and retail, as well as growing seeds for wholesalers that we buy back from for retail.
Specialist advice
CRT has a team of technical field officers (TFOs) who are able to advise you on the cultivars most suited to your individual property – adding long-term value to your operation. The TFOs receive constant education and development to ensure they have the latest information and technical advice when recommending pastoral and cereal solutions.
The grain and seed division procures its crop via CRT’s traders and TFOs to supply our markets. The TFOs are instrumental in the crop management and agronomy with our shareholder farmers and are kept updated and conversant in the latest seed varieties, chemicals and crop management.
