McMillan Rapid Gain McMillan equine feeds contain a portion of the cereal composition as steam flaked cereals. This steam flaking process considerably enhances starch digestibility, allowing for a more complete digestion and conversion of starch to sugars in the small intestine. Excessive hind gut fermentation of cereal grains is therefore minimised, ensuring a safer and healthier digestive process with reduced incidence of colic, laminitis or reduction in performance is a feed that helps condition old, underweight or sick horses and is a growing feed for foals and weanlings. Important information
Always provide access to sufficient fibre such as hay, chaff or pasture to ensure good hindgut digestive physiology. At least 1.5% of the horse's body weight should be provided as fibre. Split feed amounts in as many feeds as possible, but ideally no less than two feeds per day. High copper levels in McMillan horse feeds make them unsuitable for feeding to sheep. Store in a cool, dry place out of direct sunlight.
