Manetane
McMillan Manetane is a palatable muesli-style formulation of steam-flaked cereals, vegetable proteins, minerals and vitamins. Manetane has been formulated to provide a basal diet for horses being spelled or when a general maintenance diet is required.
Manetane can also be used as a base supplement to a performance diet where additional cereals can be added to raise dietary energy intakes.
McMillan Equine Feeds contain a portion of the cereal composition as steam- flaked cereals. This steam-flaking process considerably enhances starch digestibility, allowing for a more complete digestion and conversion of starch to sugars in the small intestine. Excessive hind gut fermentation of cereal grains is therefore minimised, ensuring a safer and healthier digestive process with reduced incidence of colic, laminitis or reduction in performance.

Feeding guide
- Maintenance 2-3kg per day
- Performance 2.5kg plus oats and chaff
- Feed amounts should relate to the condition of the horse being spelled, general pasture quality and availability of other feedstuffs.

- Trace minerals and selenium presented in their most available forms to ensure maintenance of bone integrity during the spelling period
Important information
Always provide access to sufficient fibre such as hay, chaff or pasture to ensure good hind gut digestive physiology. At least 1.5% of the horse's body weight should be provided as fibre. Split feed amounts in as many feeds as possible, but ideally no less than two feeds per day. High copper levels in McMillan Equine Feeds make them unsuitable for feeding to sheep. Store in a cool, dry place out of direct sunlight.
